From 3 July - 25 Aug, Ages 4 months to 17 year olds are welcomed to join our Summer Camps including playgroups, sports, language, arts, STEM and even online courses to provide maximum flexibility for parents. With full and half-day options available, you can choose the perfect camp to fit your child's needs. Our camps are designed to help children improve their language skills while instilling a love of learning in a fun and engaging way. Students ages 5-10 can join a language camp in the morning and follow with a multi-sports camp in the afternoon for a full day of learning and fun!

Summer Camps

Eager Explorers Expedition

Lower Kindergarten: 3- 4 years (Suitable for students who are studying K1)
Upper Kindergarten: 4-5 years (Suitable for students who are studying K2)
Primary: 6-8 years

Join our Eager Explorers as they take a different route each week and venture down a path of fun and intrigue. This course uses drama, games, story books and art to develop reading, writing, speaking and listening skills whilst broadening knowledge and experiences. With four weeks of programmes to choose from, students will set off on an exciting new expedition each week, taking them to different areas of discovery.... Calling all explorers! Which route will you take first?

Fantasy Forest - meet your favourite fairytale characters and experience a magical world with some unexpected twists and turns along the way


Treehouse Trail - trek through different environments but be sure you make it back to the lookout before it gets dark

Senses Swamp - sniff, splash, lick, look and listen as you wade through food-filled stories

Creature Canyon - from outwitted wolves to dancing giraffes you’ll encounter surprising animal antics

The course materials are on a 4-week rotation, so students can join for 4 consecutive weeks at the same location!

Playgroup Camp (ESF Schools)

13 months to 2.5 years (accompanied by an adult)

Our play-based learning approach allows our youngest students to develop their curiosity and build early skills in a safe, comfortable environment. Through the exploration of nursery rhymes and much loved stories, students will participate in a variety of hands-on activities to develop their fine motor and gross motor skills, cognitive and language development, and through our sensory activities they will have some messy fun!

Parents can choose from 2, 3, or 5 day options per week.

This camp is different every week, so students can join for 4 consecutive weeks!

Playgroup Camp (ESF Language & Learning Centre, Wan Chai)

6 to 30 months (accompanied by an adult)

Our play-based learning approach allows our youngest students to develop their curiosity and build early skills in a safe, comfortable environment. Through the exploration of nursery rhymes and much loved stories, students will participate in a variety of hands-on activities to develop their fine motor and gross motor skills, cognitive and language development, and through our sensory activities they will have some messy fun!

Parents can choose between regular weekly classes or a Flexible Class package (5 Classes) for July and August.

Pre-Kindergarten

Ages 2 - 3 years (Unaccompanied)

Let us take your children on a summer adventure where we will immerse ourselves in a world of stories, baking, art exploration and singing.

This programme is suitable for children who turn 2 years old from July 1st, but are not eligible to join Kindergarten Preparation.

Students enrol for 2 week blocks, either 3 or 5 day options per block. This camp is different every week, students can join for 8 consecutive weeks!

Kindergarten Preparation

K1 starters (Unaccompanied)

This course is for students who will be starting K1 after the summer. Students will develop their independence and confidence in an ESF kindergarten environment, as they explore nursery rhymes and well-loved stories through a variety of hands-on learning experiences.

This camp is different every week, so students can join for up to 4 weeks!

Summer Phonics Course - Kindergarten

Ages 4 - 6 years

This course is a great introduction to phonics but can also build on your child’s existing phonic knowledge. It is delivered in a very fun way with lots of group work and movement.
During the programme, students will learn:

· The basic letter sounds
· The principles of decoding words
· To play games in order to hear different sounds, using vowels and consonants
· To build longer phonic words
· To blend and segment the sounds and use words
· To begin the structure of writing lower and upper case sounds

One lesson per week x 4 weeks every Wednesday (option to do 2 months consecutively)

Primary Preparation

P1 / Year 1 starters

This course is for kindergarten graduates who will be starting P1 after the summer. It provides a boost of skills, confidence and independence through lots of fun games, drama and activities in an ESF primary school setting.

Over the course of two weeks, students will practise a range of essential skills which will provide an important foundation to ease their transition into primary school. This includes development of their understanding of the following: up to 100 high frequency words; capital letters and simple punctuation; basic sentence structure; speaking clearly during presentations; vocabulary development through a range of medium including art projects.

**The course materials are on a 2 week rotation, meaning Weeks 2-3 are different and Weeks 4-5 start the rotation again.


**Students can enrol for 1 or 2 weeks of classes but 2 weeks is recommended.
Summer camps - Primary Reader's Theatre

Primary Reader's Theatre

Ages 6-8 years

Reader’s Theatre is a technique to develop reading with understanding and fluency. Using a variety of scripts to practise and apply new techniques, students will:

· Become immersed in Reader’s Theatre to bring scripts to life as they work together to read and act out stories and their own writing
· Practise phonics, pronunciation and intonation through character portrayal and presentations
· Build vocabulary and creativity through their own script writing
· Be immersed in a rich, English speaking environment to build their understanding, confidence and enjoyment of the language.

This course is a great opportunity for your child to develop their English language proficiency. The carefully selected scripts give students essential practice in oral reading fluency and public speaking. The scripts also provide an opportunity for group interaction and student cooperation.

This is a one week course, therefore we suggest:



Primary Writing

Lower Primary (6-8 years old), Upper Primary (9-11 years old)

Each week students will learn a range of techniques, vocabulary and grammar as they explore different text types.

Creative Writing: Creative juices will be flowing this week as students bring their ideas to life. Our budding writers will then present their work at the end of the week.

Students in Lower Primary will:
· Retell stories concisely using a story cube and story mountain
· Learn how to use imperative verbs to create a board game
· Apply descriptive language in the form of comparatives, superlatives and similes to describe objects, characters and settings
· Develop sentence and paragraph writing to create mini-books, posters and postcards

Students in Upper Primary will:
· Hone their sentence and paragraph writing skills in the form of narratives, recounts and newspaper reports
· Enhance their use of descriptive language to describe the internal and external traits of characters
· Use their creative skills to design a chocolate bar, and apply persuasive techniques in the form of an advertisement
· Examine the power of the written word and how unfamiliar vocabulary can be understood through context

Challenge Your Creativity

Lower Primary (6-8 years old),

Does your child want to ignite his/her imagination? Do they need something to boost their enthusiasm for learning during the holiday? Then join our lively classes where we will spark creativity through fun discussions, games and collaborative storytelling.

Students will:

Upper Primary Debate -Debate & Dialogue

Ages 9-11 years

Debates are fun and engaging activities that exercise the brain to use all four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking, sometimes concurrently.

In this course, students will:
· Understand how debating works, what the rules are and how to debate effectively
· Use formal language, persuasive techniques and connectives in a speech
· Structure ideas on a given topic, using evidence and examples to enhance arguments
· Develop critical thinking, collaboration and communication skills
· Learn to express themselves confidently, coherently and assertively

This course is suitable for students who are new to debating and those who have already developed a taste for debating in their primary schools. It can also prepare them for a variety of opportunities that they will come across in their secondary schools.

Secondary Debate

Ages 12-16 years

Join us for some lively discussions this Summer in our Secondary Debate programme. Globally, elections have evolved and politicians have changed their communication tactics. What styles would students take to convey their opinion?
· Enhance speaking confidence
· Practise rebuttals
· Learn how to research for a debate in an effective manner
· Practise taking notes during a debate to form the basis of another argument
· Put skills into practice with small group and class debates

This is a one week course.
Make news make sense

Secondary Life Skills: Resume, Email and Interview Techniques

Ages 12-16 years

This course will offer vital real life skills for students which will prepare them for their eventual university and work careers. Students will learn how to draft their own detail-oriented resumes as well as how to prepare for oral interviews so they are prepared and filled with confidence as they take the next steps in life.

This is a one week course.

Secondary - Make News Make Sense

Ages 12-16 years

Students will hone their 21st century skills as they delve into the news. Through text analysis, debate and discussion students will review media articles and make sense of the world around us.

Students will:
· Develop 21st century skills: Creativity, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Communication
· Identify language and literary devices in the media
· Respond to articles and formulate an argument
· Write a letter to the editor

This is a one week course.

Spanish through Art and Culture

Ages 7-11 years

Join us this summer as we travel in time through the richness of Hispanic music, customs, people and colours. Each day, students will build their understanding of the language through a different component of the culture. As students become immersed in Hispanic art and culture they will develop their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Not only will this course enrich their communication skills but it will also instill a love for art and broaden their knowledge of different art techniques.

Ages 7-11 years
Students can choose to join either Comic Book Workshops or Cinema Workshops, or both!

In partnership with Alliance Française de Hong Kong, we are delighted to offer our new French summer classes. Join us this summer to learn a new European language. Not only will students get a great introduction to the language, but they will also deepen their understanding of the culture as they explore French comics, French cinema or both! Japanese for Beginners

Ages 7-10 years

We are delighted to offer a new language programme in partnership with Shin Japanese Learning Center. Suitable for beginners, these sessions will provide a fun foundation to the language. Through a variety of activities including games and role play, students will be introduced to:
· Alphabet (Hiragana & Katakana)
· Greetings
· Simple conversations
· Japanese songs

All teachers are native Japanese and studied in Japan, each with JLPT Level 1 qualification (Japanese Language Proficiency Test, top level). The course supervisor is a native Japanese teacher who previously worked in primary schools in Japan.

Ages 4-6 years

Combining acting, music, movement and theatre-crafts, students will study an engaging theme and become the characters of the story. There will be a filmed performance at the end of the course.

Multi Sports Camp

Ages 3-10 years

Summertime is the time to get out and get moving and with an ESF Sports Camp your child will do just that! Providing a safe and enjoyable environment for students, our enthusiastic approach combined with expert coaches with a passion for sport, enables every student to develop their skills and self-confidence in a range of activities, both as an individual and within a group or team dynamic.

.Variety athletics and gym exercises that are suitable for children of all ages and levels using balancing bars, ball games, and more.
.Develop and refine sports skills that prepare your child for football, basketball, gymnastics and more!

3 - 10 years old will love our day camps that are split into separate age groups. All camps combine a range of age-appropriate activities that aim to develop a core range of skills such as very basic motor skills (running, jumping, turning, balance) through to more sophisticated game-related abilities (teamwork, speed & agility, etc.).

Your child’s enjoyment is at the heart of our sports camps. We deliver programmes that will provide your child with a socially positive experience, increasing their love of sport and improving their sporting skills all through the medium of fun and game-based development.

Wet camps (water activities included) are available at RC, whereas Dry camps do not include any swimming session.

Basketball Clinics

Ages 5-17 years

ESF Tigers will be delivering basketball camps to improve players' individual technical skills and to enhance their knowledge of team play fundamentals.

The sessions will comprise mini-stations covering fundamentals such as passing, shooting and dribbling and will include small-sided games and competitions to test a player's skill level.

ESF Sharks Swimming delivers swimming lessons during summer clinics. Our qualified coaches will help swimmers develop their comfort level in the water, improve stroke technique through fun games and activities in the water.

Tumble, roll, bounce, flex and cartwheel your way through the school holidays with an ESF Gymnastics clinic! Our clinics are aimed at developing your child's fundamental gymnastics abilities through floor, beam and vault skill building.


Cheerleading and Rhythmic
– A great way to improve the gymnastics skills with sessions including innovative gymnastic programmes, Rhythmic Gymnastics Cheerleading, games to support healthy, happy children in a high-energy learning environment.

Krav Maga (Self-Defense) Clinics

Ages 5-10 years

Krav Maga self-defense course enables children to become aware of everyday safety issues and learn self defense techniques in relatively short amount of time. Classes are carefully adapted to match their respective age, physical and mental abilities. Through a especially designed Krav Maga training program and games/fun based activities; children are taught how to recognize common threats like bullies and kidnappers, and even dangerous situations like fire and natural disasters like earthquakes.
Netball Camps

Ages 5-17 years

Taking a break from the term time, the holiday netball camps focus more on the technical side of the game to improve individual and team skills.

Fun activities and equipment are incorporated into the course that are not usually used during term time to challenge all players for a rewarding week of netball!

Lacrosse Clinics

Ages 6-11 years

First played thousands of years ago, Lacrosse has been one of the leading sports in North America and now caters to over 850,000 players worldwide. A game that requires speed, quickness and accuracy, it truly is one of the most all-rounded sports that we offer.

Hockey Clinics

Ages 5-8 years

Hockey is offered for boys and girls aged between 5 to 12 years old covering a range of all abilities.
We will teach core fundamental skills that focus on building eye-hand coordination using age appropriate equipment .
Through the programme we will also offer an additional layer of performance level Hockey training – which will include Strength & Conditioning and Workshops. This particular curriculum will tie in to the Hong Kong Hockey Association’s player development needs.
Rugby 01

Tag Rugby Clinics

Ages 5-17 years

Tag Rugby is offered for boys and girls aged between 5 to 17 years old covering a range of all abilities.
We will teach a modified form of the game which does not involve contact and focus on teaching key fundamental skills in a safe environment.
Through the programme we will also offer an additional layer of performance level rugby training – which will include Strength & Conditioning and Workshops. This particular curriculum will tie in to the Hong Kong Rugby Union’s player development needs.
Summer Outdoor

Summer Outdoor Adventure Camps

Ages 7-11 years

2-day, 3-day or 5-day options available in Sai Kung and Mui Wo.
*This is not an overnight camp, please arrange drop-off and pickup your child each day.

Adventure Camp Skills teaches students the philosophies involved in survival and emergency situations and challenges them to find creative solutions. They will journey to collect water from a stream and learn how to make their own water filter from commonly found items. In these sessions, students will be introduced to the concept of the Rule of Threes (a framework for prioritising basic survival needs).

Primary Science - Everyday Science (STEM)

Lower Primary (6-8 years old),
Upper Primary (9-11 years old)

The inventions of the future will be created by the students of today through experimentation! Using hands-on activities, our scientists will gain an understanding of how the world works as we incorporate science and engineering elements of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) each week. Students will also explore the natural world and environment around them as they have lots of hands-on fun.

Students will develop their understanding of the scientific method as they plan their investigations, make a range of text types such as observations and reports as they write up experiments. Highlights include structural engineering challenges such as building towers and bridges, safely creating slime, building a ‘robotic-like’ hand, the importance of different ‘shapes’ and much more!

Students can enrol for a total of two weeks of Science (Science A and Science B)

Ages 12 year+

Cryptocurrency, NFTs, Blockchains: how are they a part of Web3 and what does it all mean? In this course, students will learn how real businesses are utilizing blockchains to improve security and transparency, how cryptocurrencies are changing how we pay for things and how smart contracts allow artists to create NFTs. By the end of the course students will generate their own NFT art and learn how they can interact with it using a digital wallet, a smart contract and simulated cryptocurrency.
Explore how Web3 technologies are currently being used with Cryptocurrency and NFTs. Learn how Web3 technologies work and how to design a pixel-art style NFT character. Create a unique NFT artwork and interact with it using a simulated crypto wallet.

Ages 12 year+

This course is for students who have an intermediate level of JavaScript programming and want to learn how blockchain systems work and why they are preferred to reduce online security risks. We will explore how blockchain technologies are changing the way we share information, make payments with crypto currencies and keep track of transactions via a digital ledger.
By the end of this course, students will build a simulated blockchain wallet system to store coins. This course emphasizes on both the front and back end of developing blockchain solutions.
Explore how blockchains are already being used in different industries and how blockchain technologies are used for crypto currencies and NFTs.
Learn the basics of how blockchains work and how to code and program a blockchain. Create a simulated blockchain wallet system and test the security of the blockchain.

Minecraft Creator (Education Edition)

Minecraft is MUCH more than just a game! In this class, we’ll challenge your child to build their own interactive 3D world. Not only will they learn how to make weapons and characters, but they’ll also learn how to visualize physics and chemistry along the way!

With Minecraft, you can simulate magnets, circuits, a gladiator and more! Despite being a game, Minecraft is a place with absolute creative freedom.

We’ll also pair up Minecraft with MakeCode, where kids can write programs to automate the construction of structures. What’s more? Kids will build circuits and game contraptions for their friends to explore!

Scratch Coding

Remake Classic Games with Scratch

Ages 8-10 years

Get a great introduction to programming with the new and improved version of Scratch.

Students will learn the basics of game design and character animation in a well-structured and easy-to-learn environment as they reimagine classic arcade games, such as Tetris and Flappy Bird. What’s more, they will learn to make art with code using the new code blocks in Scratch.

3D Game Design and Development with Roblox

Ages 8-10 years
Ages 10-12 years

Students will use the world-famous gaming platform, Roblox Studio, to design and develop their own games. They will use programming logic like function, loops, and conditions to customize and develop an engaging story that captures the player’s interest, and design heroes that take on the interactive world.

Students will work on their game design skills and learn to think creatively about designing worlds, creating themes and setting objectives and goals, mimicking how professional developers think about game development! Students who have advanced skills will dive into more complex Lua coding to customise their games further.

At the end of the course, students can launch their games for their friends and family to enjoy.

Create your own magical experience with digital spells and potions using code!

In this course, students will build engaging experiences such as potion matching games and a witch race, and bring out their inner wizard by mixing digital potions.

A perfect place to start to learn HTML, CSS and JavaScript, students will develop a solid understanding of coding/programming languages and build skills in design and game development.

Students will create a total of 5 mini-games around the theme of magic which can be shared with family and friends.

Mobile Game Developer

Ages 8-10 years

This course is designed for students who have had prior experience with HTML, CSS, andJavaScript.Using the BSD Online learning platform, students will build a total of five different games — a platformer, a trac game, a nonogram puzzle game, a battle game, and a jumping game.
Students will develop fundamental skills in programming, learn about game development and design, and explore how to add further customizations to their projects.They will end the course with a tech portfolio of the projects they’ve created, and will be able to use their new skills to move onto more complex projects in the future.

Video Game with Phaser

Ages 12 year+

Start programming games like a professional with this course. Using the popular desktop and mobile gaming framework, PhaserJS, students will learn how to create a platformer game, a side-scroller game and mini-games.

Engaging their creativity and design thinking skills, they will create, customize and enhance their games by adding their own set of characters, environments, gravity and world physics.

In this introductory course for beginners, students will learn the basics of coding in Python. The course will focus on learning Python syntax, structure and parameters and then use the knowledge and skills to build projects.

Using the BSD Online learning platform, students will be guided through learning about Python basics like, variables, data types, conditional logic, math operators and loops. The first part of the course is designed to be self-guided with activities and practice with syntax and using the console. Then students will build a birth-date-to-now calculator and an encoder/decoder.

They will end the course with a tech portfolio of the projects they’ve created throughout the course, and will be able to use their new skills to move onto more complex projects in the future.

From forests to Mars, students will bring their imaginations to life by coding their own virtual reality world.

Developed with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and A-Frame, they will code and add their own customized textures, elements, and interactions to complete their realistic simulated 3D environments.

Students will also be able to easily share their work with friends and families, as well as immerse themselves in their creations.

Ages 7-11 years

Join us this summer as we travel in time through the richness of Hispanic music, customs, people and colours. Each day, students will build their understanding of the language through a different component of the culture. As students become immersed in Hispanic art and culture they will develop their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Not only will this course enrich their communication skills but it will also instill a love for art and broaden their knowledge of different art techniques.

Exploratory introduction to band instruments and science/music concepts.

An introductory course for students seeking to explore Band instruments, with a view to find a suitable and engaging instrument to commence focussed study. Learning skills, like developing practice habits and attributes that support instrument learning, self-management skills, and social and communication skills are embedded into the course.

Course Information:
The course will suit inquisitive children that will explorer the instrumental musical world by playing brass and/or wind band instruments. Students rotate through two of four band available instruments, (Trumpet, Saxophone, Trombone and Flute) to play, discover and experience the fun and joy of music sharing and making.

The Camp Band program aims to ‘kick start’ instrumental music learning with an intensive program to provide students with the skills and knowledge to establish fundamental ‘good habits’ of posture, tone, reading notation and personal management for success and life-long enjoyment of playing a musical instrument.

Experienced students coming to enrich ensemble skills

This course aims to support Band Instrument (Woodwind, Brass and Percussion) musicians to enrich their performance and ensemble skills alongside developing instrumental music learning strategies and personal skills.

Learning Expectations:
· Engage in teamwork and cooperation by working together to create and perform ensemble Instrumental music.
· Refine listening, visual and aural literacy, increase technical skills and interpretation of ensemble music.
· Develop and extend personal skills, habits, and processes for success in learning music.

Course information:
The course will be delivered as a Concert Band or Chamber Group experience according to student numbers, instrumentation and experience. The Content focus is similar for both ensembles, with repertoire selection based on participant’s musical skills and instrumentation.

Our play-based learning approach allows our youngest students to develop their curiosity and build early skills in a safe, comfortable environment. Cryptocurrency, NFTs, Blockchains: how are they a part of Web3 and what does it all mean? In this course, students will learn how real businesses are utilizing blockchains to improve security and transparency, how cryptocurrencies are changing how we pay for things and how smart contracts allow artists to create NFTs. By the end of the course students will generate their own NFT art and learn how they can interact with it using a digital wallet, a smart contract and simulated cryptocurrency.
Explore how Web3 technologies are currently being used with Cryptocurrency and NFTs. Learn how Web3 technologies work and how to design a pixel-art style NFT character. Create a unique NFT artwork and interact with it using a simulated crypto wallet.

By the end of this course, students will build a simulated blockchain wallet system to store coins. This course emphasizes on both the front and back end of developing blockchain solutions.

Build Your Tech Start Up

For aspiring technologists, this start-up course teaches students about cutting-edge new technologies to help them innovate a fresh new tech startup idea.

Starting with the fundamentals of technology, students will learn how programming works using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Following this, students will identify a real-world problem that they would like to solve. Through design thinking activities and their newly acquired coding skills, they will design and prototype a working tech solution. Working independently or in small teams, students will then develop a business plan, company brand, and digital online presence.

At the end of the course, students will have created a tech prototype, a business plan presented as a website and a business blog.
