Tech Lab for Young Entrepreneurs
In the Tech Lab for Young Entrepreneurs, students become Restaurant Tech Innovators who use Python to build “The Monster’s Dim Sum Restaurant,” where they tackle real-world challenges—order tracking and processing, digital menus, best‑seller identification, inventory management, and reducing customer wait times—while improving operations and the overall customer experience.
By the end of the programme, students will present a capstone project that demonstrates the challenges that they have taken.
This course is ideal for students who enjoy creativity, food, and technology, and want to learn coding in a hands-on and engaging way. No setup is required: students work directly on the platform where projects/visuals are easy to share.
Visual or “vibe” coding accelerates learning, but mastering fundamentals gives students the long‑term ability to design, scale, and adapt solutions—especially important as AI becomes part of everyday development.
Outcome and Highlights:
You don’t need to study computer science to learn Python. People use Python in all kinds of fields—like finance, science, and math—to solve real problems. And you can too.
1) Learn core coding skills through a hands‑on, project‑based experience—like variables, control flow, data structures, and debugging. These are essential skills that matter even in the age of AI.
2) Write real code to tackle challenges such as managing order flow, tracking stock, updating menus, and keeping things running smoothly during busy hours.
3) Collaborate with classmates—share your code and create cool visuals for presentations.

- Experience in Digital & Innovation at MTR Corporation, specializing in AI-powered knowledge systems, enterprise automation, and low-code/cloud solutions.
- Designed and optimized AI chatbot systems, built automation tools using Python and Power Automate, and developed custom API integrations for large-scale projects.
- Strong background in software engineering, computer vision, and driving technology-enabled business transformation.
- Awarded 100% scholarship in Mechanical Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
- 5+ years of experience in STEM teaching, training, and design, delivering programs to international schools and university-level audiences across APAC.
- Proficient in Python coding and AI-integrated system development, with hands-on experience building robotics and automation solutions that improved system efficiency by 80%+.
- Led cross-functional projects in operations, marketing, and research, contributing to workflow optimization, customer engagement, and business growth initiatives.
