ESF Camps & Clinics Dance Welcome Letter!

Dear Parents & Guardians,

Thank you for joining our ESF Dance Programme.

We strongly recommend that you refer to Active or your registration summary for the start date, end date and exception/exclusion dates of your specific venue. A copy of the 2022-2023 calendar can be found here.

Here are some important points for you and your child should know ahead of their first Dance session.

Important points to note during Covid

  • Students should have their temperature checked before attending school and should stay home if the body temperature exceeds 37.5ºC. Please print and record your Rapid Antigen Test result and temperature on RAT and temperature record sheet and take it with you to the class
  • Arrive at the venue / designated collection point at least 10 minutes prior to the class to ensure sufficient time for a temperature check to avoid delays.
  • Parents are kindly asked to leave the venue / designated collection point as soon as the child is collected by the coach and only return 5 minutes prior to the end to avoid gatherings
  • Face masks must be worn throughout the session unless the student is engaged in an outdoor activity (or swimming). Please prepare at least 2 spare masks for your child.
  • No eating or drinking (except water) is allowed on school campus.
  • ESF takes health and safety seriously. Most schools insist that parents are not allowed to be on site in order to minimize the risk of a disease outbreak. To see whether parents or guardians are allowed on school grounds and the designated collection / dismissal point at each location, please click here.

General

  • Please ensure you arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of the session.
  • Our coach will be welcoming and registering your child at the venue.
  • The coach will answer any questions you may have at the beginning or end of the session.
  • Young children concentrate better on their learning experience when there are few distractions; therefore parents are advised to sit away from their child’s class.

What to bring to the class

  • Water bottle (no glass bottles)
  • Sports Shoes

Health and Safety

  • There should be no food or drinks being consumed in the designated area, except water.
  • Please ensure that a parent or guardian is in attendance when dropping or picking up your child at the lesson.
  • In the interests of Child Safety, please do not take photographs without permission. ESF’s policy on photography can be located on the website.

Absence

  • If your child cannot attend the lessons for any reason, please contact us in advance at sports@esfexplore.org.hk or 2711 1280 so we can inform your child’s Coach.

Weather Policy

  • In accordance with the guidelines of the EDB and Hong Kong Observatory, sessions will be cancelled in the event of adverse weather conditions. Please familiarise yourself with our weather policy which can be found here.

  • In the event of an unsafe environment caused by inclement weather, sessions will be cancelled and no make-up, refund or credit will be issued.
