ESF Language & Learning Attend the Asia-Pacific International Schools Conference (8 - 9 December 2021)

ESF Language & Learning Attend the Asia-Pacific International Schools Conference (8 - 9 December 2021)

Several members of the ESF Language & Learning team attended both the Asia-Pacific International Schools Conference (AISC) and the Learning & Teaching Expo 2021 early this past December.

Both the AISC and LTE are a great chance for individuals who are passionate about education and teaching to come together and discuss the latest trends and popular themes in the world of academia.

The Highlights of the AISC Conference

Some highlights of the AISC conference included a fascinating Keynote on work-life balance and self-care by Prof. Liz Jackson, Professor, The Education University of Hong Kong. Her topic was “It's Okay To Have A Bad Day: The Dark Side Of Education For Well-being And Resilience.”

Venus Cheng, a language administrator with ESF Language & Learning, gave insight into why it was beneficial for educators to attend conferences like this. Cheng said:

“We've come to the annual Asia-Pacific International Schools Conference 2021.

One of the core aspects of the conference will be that education professionals can come together, and have the opportunity to take a panoramic view of today's educational world. This includes the themes of leadership, student well-being, and new innovations that happened while we are currently facing the Covid crisis, and so on. Simultaneously, it is a time for us to come together to not only learn and share but a moment for us to connect with others.”

The two-day conference is now a huge part of many educators annual highlights as many are now embracing lifelong learning and incorporating it into their lives.
