Thank you for joining our ESF Explore Pickleball programme, hosted by ESF Explore.
We strongly recommend that you refer to Active or your registration summary for the start date, end date and exception/exclusion dates of your specific venue. A copy of the 2024-25 calendar can be found here.
Here are some important points for you and your child should know ahead of their first Pickleball session.
General
- Please ensure you arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of the session.
- Our coach will be welcoming and registering your child at the venue.
- The coach will answer any questions you may have at the beginning or end of the session.
- Young children concentrate better on their learning experience when there are few distractions; therefore parents are advised to sit away from their child’s class.
Students should come to the class with
- Water bottle (no glass bottles)
- Non-marking shoes
- Comfortable Sportswear
ESF Sports Uniform
The uniform policy was introduced in 2023 and now takes effect from Term 2 24-25 (Jan – Mar 2025).
Students must purchase a set of ESF Sports uniforms at a discounted price when they sign up for a Term 2 class. Uniform orders are accepted in two batches.
Batch 1: For enrolments received on or before 12 January, provided the register class runs as scheduled and is not postponed. Uniforms will be distributed starting on 4 February (Tuesday).
Batch 2: For enrolments received between 13 January to 9 February for any ongoing T2 classes. Uniforms will be distributed starting on 24 February (Monday).
Regular purchase: For enrolment received on or after 10 February. Uniforms can be purchased at regular prices through the School Uniform’s Website.
The ESF Sports uniforms are designed for physical activity, allowing coaches and ESF schools to easily identify ESF Explore students and provide assistance when necessary. Students are encouraged to wear the uniform to class every time.

***Important points to note***
Postponed classes: If a registered class is postponed due to low enrolment, the associated uniform order will move to Batch 2.
Class switching: If a switch is made after the order cut-off dates (12 January for Batch 1 and 9 February for Batch 2), the uniform order cannot be amended. The uniform associated with the original enrolment can only be obtained from the originally registered class.
Health and Safety
- There should be no food or drinks being consumed in the designated area, except water.
- Please ensure that a parent or guardian is in attendance when dropping or picking up your child at the lesson.
- In the interests of Child Safety, please do not take photographs without permission. ESF’s policy on photography can be located on the website.
Absence
- If your child cannot attend the lessons for any reason, please contact us in advance at info@esfexplore.org.hk or 2711 1280 so we can inform your child’s Coach.
Weather Policy
- In accordance with the guidelines of the EDB and Hong Kong Observatory, sessions will be cancelled in the event of adverse weather conditions. Please familiarise yourself with our weather policy which can be found here.
- In the event of an unsafe environment caused by inclement weather, sessions will be cancelled and no make-up, refund or credit will be issued.
