ESF Language Camps Welcome Letter!

Dear Parents & Guardians

The following information is provided to help make the start of the Winter Camp as smooth as possible and give you an overview of what to expect.  Should you have any questions please contact us on 2711 1280 or language@esfexplore.org.hk.

We have regular updates on our Facebook page.  Please ‘like’ our page to see photos and updates from our classes.

Winter Camp Dates

Winter Camp will run from Monday 20 December to Friday 31 December 2021.

Day One (for kindergarten, primary and secondary aged learners)

  • When you arrive at the school, you should expect to see ESF signage which will provide directions on where you should line up to meet your child’s teacher. You will see an assistant there who will show you where to line up.
  • Please ensure you arrive 10 minutes before the start of the lesson. For Tung Chung Kindergarten and Wu Kai Sha Kindergarten, as well as ESF Language & Learning Centre, Wan Chai, please arrive 5 minutes before the start of the lesson. Parents and caregivers are responsible for looking after their child until the class commences. If you are late, you will have to find your own way to the classroom. There will be signage directing you.
  • For health and safety reasons, all adults must leave the school grounds once the classes commence. We will then welcome you back to school 5 minutes before the end of the lesson.
  • If you would like your child to travel home on their own, we require you to complete a travel permission form. Please ask your Teacher-in-Charge for this.
  • We ask parents to provide a small snack and water, and also to ensure that their child has adequate sun and mosquito protection. For kindergarten students, please pack a spare change of clothing in their bags.
  • Language Camps’ Health & Safety Protocol here.

Teacher-in-Charge

Every school has a Teacher-in-Charge who is there to ensure that your child has an enjoyable experience. If you have any questions regarding the content of the winter programme or anything else, please do ask to speak to your Teacher-in-Charge. Because they also teach their own classes, should you wish to discuss anything, we suggest you speak to them after your child’s class has ended when they will be able to devote more time to you.
