Gymnastics

Overview

Embark on an exciting journey where young athletes learn the fundamentals of gymnastics in a fun and engaging environment!

In our Recreational Programme (GYM – GY4 classes), your child will explore:

  • Fundamental Skills: Master essential gymnastics movements, including rolls, jumps, and balances, laying the groundwork for future progression.
  • Body Awareness: Develop a greater understanding of their body’s movements and capabilities, enhancing their coordination and agility.
  • Strength and Flexibility: Engage in tailored exercises that promote physical strength and flexibility, crucial for executing gymnastics routines with ease.
  • Confidence Building: Participate in activities that encourage self-expression and boost confidence as they perform various skills and shapes.

Gymnasts Development Programme (GYGDP1 – GYGDP4), adopting the Australian Level Plan (ALP), is a fun and energetic course designed to help young athletes prepare for exciting competitions in various gymnastics disciplines. These classes focus on building skills, confidence, and teamwork:

  • Skill Development: Kids learn important skills such as tumbling, balancing, and using different apparatuses (like the vault, bars, beam, and floor). Coaches help them practice these skills safely and effectively.
  • Routine Composition: Young gymnasts work on learning and memorizing competition routines to perform in competitions.
  • Strength and Flexibility Training: Classes include fun exercises to build strength and flexibility, helping kids become more capable and confident.
  • Team Spirit: Many competition classes promote a team atmosphere, where kids can support each other and make friends. Team activities help build communication skills and a sense of belonging.

Join us to help your child thrive in a positive atmosphere where every skill learned is a step towards becoming a confident gymnast!
